Why can't Canada , Australia and the UK catch up with the US in the dominance of internet start ups
I asked the above question some couple of weeks ago on a global scale to get the views of why US companies are in complete dominance of all internet related busineses worthy of mention. The question was to match the US against every other country on the planet. I recieved many reasons while this is the case . a summary of the reasons were , innovation,freemarket, US invented the internet, US controls ICAAN, US have internet backbone,greed , money,financial market, english skill etc.
I guess this might be true when you compare the US to Nigeria, Vietnam , Congo, Bolivia. The diffrence in democracy , technolgy, culture and education makes all the point . but what i can’t figure out is why Canada, UK and Australia can’t make it despict having similar scenario like the US What is the missing link, why aren’t there google,yahoo msn in this countries?

You are very misinformed. If you don’t watch or read American news you are uninformed. If you DO Watch or read Amerianc news you are MISINFORMED.
Canada UK and Australia have MSN GOOGLE YAHOO and way more. Canada was about 7years ahead of the US in HIGH SPEED INTERNET. Beside we also have WAY more freedom then in the US. Then do you haver any idea the population in Canada vers US????? Australia VERS US and UK VERS US????????? Maybe that have something to do with it.
Access to capital. Internet start ups are risky. The VC community is larger and more risk tolerent in the US.
