Where does all my website traffic go?
I have a website which tracks the number of visitors I get monthly. I can see the traffic goes there, but is apparently diverted because I NEVER get sales.
It is a replicated site which general search engines usually pre-identify and avoid unless a person types exactly into the browser…which is the way most of my traffic gets routed (WOM-Word of Mouth). Because "I" did not build the site, I don’t know what the MetaTags are. I know the ones I assigned for my personalized Yahoo referral URL.

Please provide us with your website’s URL so we can review your metatags and see how to improve those tags so you do capture the majority of relevant Net traffic.

It sounds like someone has "hacked" your site to draw off your visitors. Ask friends and family to go to your website and tell you if any strange links appear which are "stealing" your visitors. If not, you have to change what you are selling or change the prices until you get more sales..

Without actually seeing your traffic statistics or website, it’s tough to accurately access what is happening. However, there are alot of factors that go into converting visitors to sales:
1. Does your website look attractive and professional?
2. Is your website easy to use?
3. Does your website have compelling sales verbiage on each page?
4. Do you have high-quality product images?
5. Is your pricing competitive with your competition?
6. To strangers, does your website look abandoned or it is updated every week or month?
7. Is the "checkout" process on your site easy to follow?
8. Does your site take security precautions to ensure your customers billing information is secure?
9. If yes for #8, does it state that you take security precautions on your site?
10. Is your phone number on every page of your website?
These are just a few questions you can ask yourself about your website. If any of these items are lacking, you’ll need to address them as soon as possible. General consumers are wary when shopping online because they can’t be 100% confident of their purchase is buying from a non-brand name store.
In sales, you should expect to convert 2%-3% of website visitors to sales. If you’re not reaching these numbers, it may be a good time to re-assess your current website and move forward from there.

But is this your problem? Vistors to a website obviously leave, mostly without clicking internal links or without buying something. There are statistics showing number of probable sales to visitors ratio (1:1000??).
But are you deliberately sending your visitors away? I.E have you links to other similar sites? Adsense? Affiliates? Banners? These, obviously will drive away your hard earned visitors. See http://www.ds32.com
