]]> I’m asking this because i’ve noticed that with some yahoo! servises/sites, they can’t be found anywhere else. For instance, I have a yahoo! group, which is only listed on the yahoo! search, despite the fact that i’ve submitted it to several others. So, i wonder if the same would be true for geocities (esp. the free version)? Or, does the fact that it’s free have something to do with it?

Bottom line, i just want to know if yahoo! witholds its free sites from other search engines? I’d like to know soon, before i waste my time creating a site, which no-one will know about!

I’m from India and I’m optimizing an indian travel and hotel booking site. This site has PR3 and site ranks in Google First Page Position for various targeted keywords (many of them are quality keywords for travel and many of them of hotels booking related keywords). In spite of being ranked for targeted keywords we get very few bookings from outside India(only 2-3 per month).

On checking statistics of my site I came to the conclusion that my website is on top only on Google.com and Google.co.in and not many pages of my site rank for the keywords its been optimized for (Only domain name get rank for hotels specific keywords).

Any good SEO suggestions for pages to rank well?

My main concern to get rank in other locations of Google and other search engines. How I can get more booking from outside india ?

From other google locations like…google.co.uk, google.fr…etc?

Please give me suggestions. Thanks

]]> A Few Questions – I have both a flash and HTML version of my website, but through the website platform I can only submit one version of my website, so I am wondering is it better to submit a flash version of the website or a html version of the website and why? Can google and other search engines even detect and read the content/text that I write into my flash website? Last question, on my website, instead of putting too much information on it, I used a pdf file for a price and information sheet with a link on the site to display the pdf in a web page…. do search engines read the pdf files where there is a link to the file on my site, and if so, does this still help or affect the sites page rank at all? Please don’t answer this question with a guess or your opinion, I am looking for answers to people who know about this from a personal or professional standpoint backed up by facts I can possibly see somewhere since I have a lot of money being invested into my website.
