Would it upset you if your fiance' hired his ex-wife (of ten years) to work for him? Why or why not?
My boyfriend and his best friend just started an internet marketing company and they have been hiring sales reps from accrossed the country. About a month ago, my man told me that they had hired his ex wife (they were together for 10 years, he adopted her 2 kids, and they’ve only been divorced for 2 years). This meant that she would be spending quite a bit of time with my fiance’ during training (until she would be sent out into the field). When he told me this, I got very upset and tried to explain to him why it was wrong if he was trying to start a new life with me (I just found out I’m pregnant… too). He still doesn’t seem to understand what’s wrong with it. Help!!!!
Update….. she ended up saying that it wasn’t enough money and did not take the job… but I’m still upset because he still doesn’t ‘get it’ so to speak. He does not ‘agree’ with me that it’s messed up… do you think it’s messed up???
The reason it upsets me is because 1) I think that if he was ready to move on he would be closing the door to his past and focusing on the future (me) – with the exception of his kids… as far as I’m concerned those kids should be the only line of communication between them (the kids are 15 and 17 years old 2) He didn’t even think about how that would make me feel (or ask me) before he and his friend decided to hire her 3) She cheated on him with her BOSS so obviously she has a history of going after management!!!!!
Well…. I don’t think that he still wants her but she has sent him e-mails over the past year that have really crossed the line…. I just don’t think I could ever feel comfortable with her around. She’s his past… and having her there… lurking in the shadows…. would be too much to handle. That’s just how I feel.
We are getting married on August 23rd.

Why would a self publisher publish with Lulu and not Createspace? What advantages does Lulu hold over Createspace and which one of them is easiest to create a book cover with? I am still undecided with which one of them I should go with. Which one of them is most likely to bring in the most sells; i understand i got to play my own part? I have my own isbn as well as my own website as my book is in the specialized groupings-religion. I am thinking of having a specialized internet marketing company to do the promotions for me. The other day I was in an electronic’s store shopping for a CPU for a new system I’m building, and this guy beside me starts asking me a bunch of computer related questions. He introduces himself and gives me a business card with his company’s name and his cell number. No address, no email addresses, no internet address for their website. I look up the business when I get home and can’t find anything about it. The next day I get a call from someone who says he’s with the company and that he wants to sit down at a Starbucks and talk about an opportunity to make supplemental income in Internet Marketing. The call was around 8PM at night, strange hours to be making a business call isn’t it? Also, he wants to meet at the Starbucks by my house at 8PM tonight to discuss all this. Has anyone ever been involved in a situation like this? It sounds like a scam to me.
Since it’s supposedly an internet marketing company I would think that they would at the very least have a URL for their business on their business card or something like that…

I have this non compete clause that is just ridiculous. I worked for a search engine optimization company and they made us sign a non compete that said we couldn’t do ANY internet marketing anywhere in the world for 6 months. The thing is… I am a marketing major. What marketing jobs these days don’t somehow involve the internet? I already tried negotiating it, and he refuses.
