Does listing your name in whois do better for Google page rank?
A lot of domain registrars provide a privacy service, so you dont have to put your own name and phone no. in whois records. If i wanted to rise faster in Google page rank, i wonder which is better, or if it makes a difference at all?

Google PR is based almost entirely on the number of incoming links.
Your whois info shouldn’t affect your PR at all.

Depends what the website is for.. If you are planning and selling something then don’t opt for the privacy because people will check and if you opted for privacy you usually have something to hide..
Regarding the page rank I had a private domain and it ranked 2nd for my keyword. So from personal experience it shouldn’t make a difference..
Incoming links are important and people will link to good content and a honest website.
