If your PR is increased whats wrong in it.
If you dont get good link back to your site, your PR wont increase. If you do paid traffic campaign I dont think so your PR will increase. Also opt for the site with nofollow link.
If your site is having a good traffic for good amount of time, definitely your site is of good quality then the PR will improve

Yes. PR is only one metric that gives a relative measure of your backlink strength, but that is only one aspect of getting organic search traffic, and organic search traffic is only one of many methods of generating traffic. You could get traffic from other sources such as social media, ppc, affiliates, banner ads, referral from other website, etc. Non of those would necessarily have any effect on your PR. If you want to get traffic from organic search then you will need to get backlinks. This will increase your PR naturally, but an increase in PR wouldn’t mean you will get more search engine traffic and visa verca.
Also, PR is only updated every few months, so even if your PR were increasing you wouldn’t know it for several weeks or months. You shouldn’t worry about PR. Just focus on traffic. They are only loosely related, and its the traffic that you really want anyway.

Yes, it is possible you should optimize first your web page. After that, build a quality backlinks in Directory Site, Article Site, Forums and Social Bookmarking Site. Then promote your website in Social Networking Site such as Twitter and Facebook.
