why is my yahoo search window in my yahoo toolbar for my browser showing whatever I type?

I have AVG anti-virus along with the yahoo toolbar running on my firefox. Sometimes I see stuff I typed in the yahoo search box in my yahoo toolbar. I don’t like that something is keeping stuff I typed out why is this? Is it a bug, a virus, spyware? Can other people or companies be viewing the information I’ve typed? Is my privacy being breached?

What would cause a yahoo search engine to produce different results for the same search criteria?

I was in the library with some friends and we were doing some research for some term papers. We all put in the same search criteria into the yahoo search engine and out of the 6 of us only 2 got the same exact search results (after a couple of tries). What would cause this type of anomaly to happen?
Okay, the same, exact identical criteria, entered in the same time fram of 3 seconds, using pcs that are running windows xp. The destination site has not changed and is accessible by the administrators computer, is a regularly used site that can be viewed by any age group (safe).

I want to know how the Yahoo Search Engine can be restored to normal when a spyware and/or other viruses affected the system. I have been downloading some anti-spyware programs, such as Spybot, to reverse the effects and I want to know what applications I can used to turn the search engine back to normal. I have my Yahoo Search Engine results mixed with different web addresses. Thanks.

Yahoo Search?

I tried to use the Advance Search for the yahoo mail.
However, nothing is returned when I put in a keyword on the subject line search. I am 100% sure there are a lot of emails with the keyword as the subject line.
Does anyone has similar problem?
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Do search engines pay attention to how old a website is?

I run an online business and am trying to maintain my front page Google and Yahoo search results. My website is not updated often and I’m slipping to the second pages. Do search engines pay any attention to how old web pages are (via sitemap.xml dates) and give priority to newer or more frequently updated web pages?

Thanks.
Please provide details and any links that are available.

Who Should Pay for Search and Rescue?

I live in the Northwest, and we have had 2 search and rescue missions up here in a week. I don’t think the Kim family should ve held responsible for goimg dpwm a rpad tjat was supposed to be closed, because a vandal cut the lock open, but the three on Mt. Hood is another story. Who should be responsible to pick up the bill for the three lost climbers on Mt. Hood? Should the individuals who are lost be responsible? Or should all hikers pay a higher fee to hike to offset the costs of Search and Rescue? What about a system that required all hikers to wear a GPS locating device? Just curious to see what you think. Thanks!
We pay insurance to cover the cost of fire and theft? Shouldn’t climbers have to carry insurance, then?
